Supra is rare, but it means to be put forward, highlighted above something else, made superior. Super means exactly the same as its prefix form, bigger or better in some way: unprocessed, untreated, unrefined, crude, natural, unmilled, unprepared, unfinished, green…

This collection results from Ondarreta’s search for the unique, for something higher, something that challenges the ideas of a traditional chair. A super chair made of only one piece? Well, this is Supra, a collection designed in collaboration with NOTE (Design Studio), made 100% in Euskadi under Ondarreta’s 0Km manufacture parameters.

Have you ever seen a chair that changes colour at the mercy of nature, of light? Supra Raw is an uncommon finish, yet it demands to be mentioned, highlighted above any other—excellent in essence, RAW.

We present the ultimate twist in understanding and defining the evolution of a chair collection. Versatile in its rawest state, SUPRA RAW is a multicolor collection born from the collaboration between ONDARRETA and NOTE (design Studio).

ONDARRETA : SUPRA BY NOTE

A mono-shell chair with the expression of a traditional two-part chair, made in one piece. A collection that brings together backrest and seat in a single piece and that provides functionality in many different situations and environments.

Supra is the exponent of the value of building by Ondarreta under KM.0 parameters. An 8 hour trip. together with Note (Design Studio) visiting the entire construction process of this collection by the 8 factories and suppliers that are part of the design and construction process of this unique family, made 100% in Euskadi, everything is sourced locally.

“It’s the first time we do this injection…it’s not the first time for Ondarreta but it’s the first time they do this kind of super chair, that was the brief basically, they said we want to do a “super chair”, thus the name SUPRA. We are always curious, always searching for new things, new details, whatever it is. Whether it’s in nature, whether it’s in the facades, in the city…

I think that’s also when, like, we discuss with Nadia and Nora its always, they have a …its super clear that they are very respectful of what they are and their origins. Ondarreta’s brand, and their clients, and their sales organization …they want to include everything like a big family. But also, that they are super open. I always experience them like an international company and it’s just by chance that they are operating in Ondarreta…not by chance of course but…
